The terms

Chaos is the point. Cheating is not. Break these and you stop being a problem we have to think about.

General Conduct

Permanent ban

The baseline. Break these and you are gone.

No hacking, cheating or exploiting. Zero tolerance, no appeals.
No glitching. If it looks like a bug and you are using it to win, it is.
No market exploits. Using a trader pricing bug to farm currency is an exploit.
No combat logging. Do not log out within 10 minutes of taking or dealing damage unless you died. Inside your own base you can log whenever you like.
No racism or hate speech. Instant, permanent, not up for debate.
No toxic behaviour. Trash talk is part of the game. Harassment is not.
No ban evading. Alt accounts get the same ban as the original.
Open a ticket for issues. Do not argue it out in global chat.

Guideline

Drive and fly at your own risk. DayZ physics owes you nothing.

Drive and fly at your own risk. We do not replace vehicles lost to terrain, desync or your own optimism.
Do not park at the trader. Vehicles left at a trader will be deleted without warning.
Do not uncover someone else’s vehicle unless you are actually stealing it. Pulling a cover off to peek is not allowed.

Neutral ground. Keep it that way.

Raiding is always on. Grief is not raiding.

You can raid 24/7. There is no protection window. Build with that in mind.
You may stack two items. For example two ladders, one on the ground and one on top.
You may stand on another player, a car, or a placed item.
No prop stacking beyond what is listed above.
No griefing. Taking down walls or objects purely because you can is not a raid.
No glitch raiding. Every object you use must touch the ground or be attached to a structure. Placing objects in mid-air to gain height is a ban.
Do not litter when raiding. If you cannot carry what you pulled out, put it in another storage item, a fire barrel or a fireplace. Stolen loot is yours to do what you like with, just do not leave it strewn across the ground.

Strike / temp ban

Build something that could plausibly stand up, and that someone could plausibly get into.

Everything must be attached to the ground and structurally realistic.
No more than two floating floors. You may overhang two floors before attaching back to the ground or to something connected to it.
Every base must be raidable through at least one door. No blocking doors, no disassembling gates to seal yourself in.
No other size limits right now. If we start seeing server lag, that changes and we will announce it first.
